Hands down, this is the most popular item in our shop. Originally used as a woodworking tool, this handy little gizmo makes quick work out of zesting a lemon or orange. It will remove just the yellowest part of the rind - no pith...likewise with an orange. But it doesn't stop there. The Microplane does a FABULOUS job of grating ginger, grates parmigiana reggianno to look like snow and I love to use it on a knob of fresh horseradish. Martha made it famous but don't hold that against it. It is quite indispensable.
