Even if you buy frozen pies, this is the easiest way to keep the crust from burning. Rather than wrestle with a roll of aluminum foil, just pop this on your pie once the crust is almost golden. The crust will continue to brown but won't burn. It's great. I sent one to my Mom so that she would make more pies for my Dad. It fits a 8 1/2" to 9" pie and is reusable again and again.
