Vitamix is engineered and assembled in the USA.
The Ascent Series is part of their Smart System. Smart System blenders are compatible with a variety of Self-Detect cups, bowls, and container sizes to suit your needs. Built-in, wireless connectivity, the motor base will automatically adjust the maximum blending times for the container size you’ve chosen.
