"I have worked with some of the best chefs in the world on Food Network, and PBS and love to cook myself. Vermont Kitchen Supply has always been my go-to place to find anything I need, whether it be for a show, cookbook, morning show segment, or my own home use.
The owner is the real deal, so friendly and knowledgeable. She's helped me with my new foray in to sourdough baking, and suggested tools that really make the process easier. The plastic tubs for proofing, the handy lame, and indispensable VT cookstick. I've started ordering what I need through them instead of buying on amazon and it makes me feel good to know my $ is supporting a local business and there is someone very competent there to make suggestions and answer my questions.
I also really like all of the staff here. Each employee knows a fair amount about each section of the store. For example, I wanted to buy a wok, but I wanted a low maintenance wok that would be easy to clean. They produced one out of the back, brand new in the box. I also wanted a few other gadgets and the employee helping me patiently pointed me in the right direction and guided me in deciding which tools fit my needs best.I was able to find a ton of unique gifts for friends and family in the store. There really is something for everyone here. Pay special attention to their cheese section. Every cheese nerd needs to see what they have to offer from slicing to labeling, they have it!
